RE
At Ferney Lee we follow the agreed syllabus for RE, produced for Calderdale, Kirklees and Leeds which is called Believing and Belonging.
Our RE lessons are designed to be engaging, stimulating, and inclusive. They nurture informed and thoughtful responses to misunderstanding, stereotyping, and division, while providing a safe yet challenging environment where pupils can explore complex and thought-provoking questions. Through RE, children are encouraged to reflect on deep questions about meaning and purpose, beliefs about God and ultimate reality, moral choices, and what it means to be human. In RE, children discover and explore a range of perspectives and ideas, both locally and globally, learning about and from different religions and worldviews. They learn to value wisdom from a variety of sources, express their own insights, and engage respectfully with differing opinions.
